Podcasting is Full of Crap
June 17, 2008Everyone knows Crap! Crap Mariner. Laurence Simon. 100 word stories. Edloe. etc. Yadda Yadda. Head Pervert.
For SL’s 5th Birthday, Crap decided to do a podcasting educational build. Cool. Unfortunately although I promised to help, I’m worthless but I am putting together some screencasts that I hope will at least be slightly useful. Really.
Check out the lil video he dunn made.
Anyway. Learn it. Love it. Live it.

Wordpress.com does allow imbeds, though it does say that other
Sougent Harrop | June 17, 2008Wordpress.com does allow imbeds, though it does say that other Wordpress installations don’t. Are you just a little confused?
Well, thanks for the vote of confidence, but, the blip.tv
radarmasukami | June 17, 2008Well, thanks for the vote of confidence, but, the blip.tv embeds simply get cut out by wordpress.com. YouTube ones don’t.
But I do see that crossposting from blip.tv to wordpress.com supposedly works. I’ll have to try that and see how that works.
Well, it's also erroring out on crossposting. Wordpress.com is blocking
radarmasukami | June 17, 2008Well, it’s also erroring out on crossposting. Wordpress.com is blocking the crossposts.
Yay! Moved the blog. Put in the plug-ins. Now
Radar | June 18, 2008Yay! Moved the blog. Put in the plug-ins. Now I can embed blip.tv and all the others!
Well, I have a "blog" on wordpress.com to hold on
Sougent Harrop | June 18, 2008Well, I have a “blog” on wordpress.com to hold on to “sougent” over on that site, was able to imbed your blip.tv clip up there with no issues using the imbed in wordpress.com code that blip.tv provided.
Hm. I don't know, Sougent. I do know they were
Radar | June 18, 2008Hm. I don’t know, Sougent. I do know they were blocking them on my site. The blip.tv faq stated that embeds wouldn’t work due to security issues. And cross-posts from blip.tv failed each time also.
Is it possible they didn’t upgrade every site with the new wordpress version? I would think that would be automagic for all sites on their servers.
