SLim and Flaky
October 31, 2008I posted about my tests with SLim a couple posts ago. Testing again today, I’m seeing that if I IM my alt from SLim, the alt’s name disappears and I get a message that he’s temporarily unavailable. Then his name reappears on the list.
If I IM from in-world to the account logged into SLim, however, it works fine.
Anyone else seeing this with SLim right now?

It took me half a day to figure out how
scottlo scorbal | October 31, 2008It took me half a day to figure out how to login to the SLim client. Didn’t realize I could use a space character between first and last name. Clearly this thing is not moron proof.
As for IMing and alt, I’d have to figure how to set one up. At the rate I’m going, please give me half-a-year and I’ll get back to you.
Don't worry, I had problems getting it to work right
Radar | October 31, 2008Don’t worry, I had problems getting it to work right initially and now it’s not working (see above). But it was cool while it lasted!
It’ll be nice once more people use it (assuming they do) and it’s part of the main viewer and then if someone’s in-world I need to talk to rq I won’t have to log in. I hope it lives up to its potential that way.
